Au Revior Paris... Bonjour Nice!

Mandy:

Our stay in Paris ends off in an early check out of our airbnb apartment. The stay was excellent and I would definitely use it again. We had breakfast at Le Pain Au Quotidien and made our way to Gare de Lyon train station to drop off our luggage. For €9.50 we got the largest locker to store our luggage for the day.

Bye bye Paris!

We walked around south of the river and somehow (like always!) made our way to the Louvre area and had lunch near our apartment. We walked a full circle.

I will definitely visit Paris in the future. It is an amazing city with lots of things to see and do. I did find that the streets smelt of urine and the trains were old and ghetto at times. However, overall a very very good experience. And of course the food was exquisite.

At long last, it was time for us to go back catch our train and go on the long 5 hour train ride to Nice. Luckily, this time there were not any crying children in our carriage. Upon arriving at Nice, we took the train to our hotel, got settled and ate a fairly expensive dinner at a nearby French restaurant. The hotel was much better than the one at Amsterdam, comfortable with air conditioning! Also, from what little we saw, Nice is very beautiful city from what we saw, though unfortunately the area around the train station did not give off the best first impression.
