Paris Day 5

Mandy:

We took it easy on our last full day in Paris. We had a few errands to run such as going to the post office, doing some laundry, and packing.

For lunch we went to Norm's fave restaurant - Comptoir de la Gastronomie. Although the patio smells like urine (there is a resident homeless person right beside the restaurant) the food is always good.

We then made our way to the Palais de Luxembourg which has a very beautiful park. We tanned for a bit but we were wearing too much clothes for the hot weather. So we walked to Saint Germaine street and bought some macaroons at Pierre Herme (the other notable macaroon shop) and made another purchase at Louis Vuitton :):)

Pistachio and strawberry sorbets at Palais de Luxembourg

Pretty palace... not so pretty t-shirt =P

Pierre Herme macaroons: caramel, pistachio, rose, and peach + apricot + saffron

During our walk home we walked along a bridge that had locks chained to the entire length of the fence. It was very romantic and cute but sadly we were not prepared.

Love lock fence

Our plan for the night was to take the train to Sacre Coeur area to check out the cathedral and have dinner. However, when we got there we realized the area was a bit ghetto and we ended up checking out the cathedral and then headed back home to eat. We went back to the very first restaurant we went to - Bianco. I was craving my mom's spaghetti. Of course the spaghetti I ordered tasted nothing like my mom's. I will have to wait two weeks for her cooking!

Bianco round 2: foie gras pizza + spaghetti fruits de mer + cokes of course
